Connectivity Guide

If you’re having problems signing into or staying connected to Chronicle, then following the steps provided below should help to solve the problem:

Flush DNS

1. Press the Windows key + R
2. In the run box type cmd and click OK
3. When the command prompt opens type the following. ENTER after each new line:

ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
exit

Ports and Exceptions

Please ensure that the following ports are open for both “inbound” and “outbound” TCP Traffic

  • Port 3000 and Port 8080

Please also ensure that the following exception has been added to any firewalls you are using:

  • rschronicle.com

You may need to consult your router and firewall manuals for precise steps on how to do this

What now?

Please now try to log into game again. If the problem is solved then that's great! If the connectivity issue remains unsolved, we need you to perform a Trace Route so we can look into this with you:

1. Go to the Start Menu
2. Enter ‘cmd’ into the search bar that pops up, press enter
3. Enter:

if you're having trouble signing in or staying connected to game:

tracert game.rschronicle.com

if you're having trouble downloading the Chronicle client:

tracert cdn.rschronicle.com

4. Take a screenshot of the information displayed, then upload this to an image hosting website like imgur

We now need you to get in touch with us and provide a link to the Trace Route Screenshot. We will use this to review your connection for any problems.

Please also confirm in your message that you have tried to flush your DNS and set up the required ports and exceptions. If you don’t say that you have already done this, these are the first steps we will provided!
